This Lenten season our church will embark on a journey of prayer. What does this mean? Well, it means that we will be exploring together the different       ways of praying as a community and as individuals. There will be a “Serenity Prayer” Book study, we will be more intentional about adding in prayer time to all of our gatherings (meetings, etc.) and you will receive a laminated copy of our “738 Prayer” to pray daily.

Most of us do not feast on prayer, we snack on it. We think it has to be structured, have fancy words, or be said by the pastor in order to be effective. This is so not true. Our lives can be lived “in prayer” and when we, as a community of faith, join together in prayer, amazing and unimaginable things will happen! So, join us this Lent as we pray together.

God, we lift this up to you in prayer. Please do what we cannot do ourselves. We need you to breakthrough and into our lives, our congregation, and our community. Use us together for unimagined new purposes on behalf of Christ. Break through any barriers that stand in your way and hold us back.  In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
