Welcome to First UMC Hartford. I am so glad you found us online. My name is Pastor Cheryl and I began my ministry here in July of 2020- during a pandemic……My husband, Mark, and I both served in the Southwest district (Lancaster UMC and Prairie du Chien/Eastman, respectively). Mark retired in 2020 and we now make our home here in Hartford. I grew up in a little town in Central Wisconsin called Weyauwega. I was raised in the little white Presbyterian church there and felt that God was calling me into ministry at a young age but didn’t take it seriously until 30 years later. I had worked in transportation and marketing for large corporations, had raised two boys, divorced, and met Mark (who had two girls), married and settled into life. It was after we left the Presbyterian church and were invited to worship with some friends at a United Methodist church that I began to feel that God still wanted me to serve in ministry. I had always been involved in the church teaching Sunday School and then later as a volunteer youth director and a lay speaker, but the sense that there was more wouldn’t go away. I became a Licensed Local Pastor in the UMC in 2012 and three years later Mark followed me. In 2016 I discerned that seminary was in my future and I graduated from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in 2019. Together Mark and I have four grown children and 13 grandchildren, and we enjoy spending as much time with them as we can. We enjoy hiking in the State parks and are embarking on a new adventure to visit some of our National Parks! We are both avid sports fans (and Badger and Packer fans)! My passion is creating space for people to experience God and enrich their spiritual lives. Join us for worship, we truly do welcome all! You can connect with me at email@example.com
Robin has been working at FUMC since 2007. Her passions include music, especially church music, and assisting in ministries that help those on the margins of society. She is married to Joe and they have four children, four grandchildren and two dogs.

Connie job shares as an Administrative Assistant at FUMC and is in the office on Thursdays. She has two children and two grandchildren.
Connie enjoys her time at the cabin in northern Wisconsin that she shares with family.
Emilee’s ministry is to help create a safe, friendly, and welcoming church home for families. She wants to allow children, youth and families to feel Jesus with them in their hearts, inspire them to share His love with others & be a Servant to God. Emilee loves to volunteer in her daughter’s classrooms at Lincoln Elementary. She enjoys watching football, cooking, reading and spending time with family & friends. Emilee is married to Dan and they have three daughters, Adeline, Norah & Clare.
My name is Brittany Hahn and I wanted to take a short moment to introduce myself as the new Youth Ministry Coordinator at FUMC for our middle and high school students (grades 6-12).
For those of you whom I haven’t had the opportunity to meet, I have been attending this church since I was in 5th grade. During my time spent in this church as a youth (6-12th grades), I was fortunate enough to have the privilege of participating in Sunday school, choir, youth group and mission team – if it was happening at church, you could find me there!
I am very much looking forward to being a part of a revival of our youth programs here at FUMC. I currently volunteer as a Sunday School teacher to our Kindergarten – 5th graders (this class also includes help from some of our middle school students, too!). I am blessed to see how fortunate we are to have these amazing youth within our church, and I want nothing more than to pass on the opportunities I was given to your children!
When I’m not working with your children, I am “Mommy” to my 4 year old daughter, Vivi, and a Registered Nurse at Froedtert Health.
Jim is very excited to be embarking on the role of Music Director for our congregation. Jim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design. By day he works for the printing company Tailored Label Products in Menomonee Falls as a Scheduling Coordinator. Jim and his family have been coming to FUMC since 2003 and members since July of 2004. He lives in Hartford with his wife Heidi, two sons Harrison and Stuart, and two fur babies (dogs) Abner and Daisy Mae.
