We have many opportunities to share your talent.
For many people, music is an essential part of the worship experience. First United Methodist Church has a rich history of using music to glorify God. The following music opportunities are available for those adults who wish to share their musical gifts and express their faith through music in worship. Men’s Choir
This choir is open to all men who enjoy performing four-part, traditional hymns suited to male voices. Rehearsal: Sunday morning between worship services and evenings as needed in the choir room. Director: Ed Johnson Chancel Choir
This choir is for anyone who loves singing four-part Christian music and performing during worship services. Rehearsal: Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Director: Jim Gottfried Bell Choir
This group is for anyone who enjoys performing instrumental music in the worship service. No previous experience with bell ringing is needed but the ability to read music is helpful. Rehearsal: Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room at the church. Director: Danielle Pezzino Cherub Choir
This group is for our littlest singers aged 3 years - Kindergarten. No musical experience is necessary. A fun opportunity for children to be part of the worship service. They perform at various services during the school year. Rehearsal: Sunday mornings during first service, after Children's Time. Director: Katie Schlotthauer |
